The Sleep Council is the UK trade and industry body that represents the Bed manufacturers and market place. Yes they would like you to buy more beds, to increase their members’ activity and success, but they don’t just hope this occurs. They make the case, very succinctly, for you to enjoy the best possible sleep and awake refreshed. Their tag line, “SLEEP GOOD – FEEL GOOD” says it all.
They start with a simple form that asks 10 questions about your current sleep patterns and then a 10 point guide on how to choose a new bed. The aim is to increase public awareness of just how much quality sleep adds to life satisfaction and then the amount that a bed choice will help to achieve this.
The 10 questions in the BED M. O. T. (Mattress Obsolescence Test) are fairly obvious but it is good to see the number of items that could most influence the need to shop for a new bed, all in one place.
Their “At a Glance guide” to choosing a new bed has a similar directness and finishes with the well known close, “Remember, you’re going to spend over 29,000 hours in bed over the next 10 years!” We just say, “A third of you life will be spent in bed, make sure you enjoy it.”
If this introductory form sparks your interest in the industry then move on to the more detailed brochures, The Good – Night Guide and the Bed Buyers Guide. Once you have mastered these you will certainly be an informed shopper. If you want to be a satisfied buyer (Informed or not) then the best way is to direct your search to Emporio BEDS.
We have the experience, the stock and the time to help you with every part of creating an ideal Sleep Centre. Once your decisions are made, we will deliver everything and even arrange for disposal of unwanted items as required.
Remember, as the Spanish say, if your bed is more than 10 years old you have no bed. Also, if it is not useful to you then neither is it to other, occasional users in the household. Anyway, everyone deserves a perfect sleep while in Spain, to complement the rest of their enjoyment, so don’t stint on it.
